History: Frankincense oil was one of the oils given to the baby Jesus by the three Magi. In the Biblical scriptures, it is stated: Mathew 2:11 Presented unto Him gifts; gold, and Frankincense and myrrh. It has been used in churches and temples throughout history for its potent purifying effects. In the Catholic church, this is what the little boy who walks in front of the priest is burning to purify the cloud of negative energy of the people. Frankincense oil is one of the first oils used in spiritual ritual. During Roman times, it was customary to burn it in the funeral pyre at cremations.
