- EXTREME PHOTOTOXICITY: Our Cold Pressed Lime oil can cause severe skin burns if used topically before sun or UV exposure. AVOID DIRECT SUNLIGHT OR TANNING BEDS for 12-18 hours after applying to skin. For sun-safe topical use, we recommend our Steam Distilled Lime oil.
- FELINE TOXICITY: This oil is toxic to cats. Their livers cannot metabolize its compounds. Do NOT apply topically to cats or diffuse in unventilated rooms where they are present. Always allow pets an escape route from a diffused room.
- OXIDATION: Lime oil has a short shelf life (1-2 years). To prevent oxidation (which can cause skin sensitization), store in the refrigerator. Discard if it loses its fresh, zesty scent.
