ESSENTIAL OILS FOR REPELLING PESTS

The following oils can be dropped on a cotton ball, in a spray bottle with water, or used without dilution around the house:

Citronella oil Clove oil Lavender oil Lemongrass oil Peppermint oil Sage oil Spearmint oil

Sprinkle or spray one or more of these oils along the walls, in cabinets, closets, and around the yard.

Peppermint oil and spearmint oil ward off ants and mice.

Add 25 drops of peppermint oil and 26 drops of spearmint oil, 20 drops cinnamon oil, 20 drops clove bud  oil, to four ounces of vodka or water and spray around the perimeter of

the house.

Lavender oil repels moths.

Orange oil will help eliminate termites.                          

Many professional termites spray

contain orange oil.

Flies are repelled by lavender oil and peppermint oil.

Fleas are repelled by lavender oil, peppermint

oil, and spearmint oil.

Lice are repelled by cedar wood oil, peppermint oil, and spearmint oil.

Ticks are repelled by lemongrass oil and sage oil.

BED BUGS

 

Use peppermint oil, lemongrass oil, cloves oil, cinnamon oil, and lavender oil to help ward off bed bugs.

Use 20 drops of each of these with four ounces of vodka, and spray mattresses, box springs, and bedding with this formula.                   

For extreme cases, it can be sprayed pure.

DUST MITES & MOSQUITOES

Use 30 drops of eucalyptus oil in each load of laundry to help kill dust mites.

Use citronella oil, lavender oil, lemongrass oil, and peppermint oil to repel mosquitoes.

GENERAL PEST CONTROL

For general pest control, add 20 drops of each of these to four ounces of vodka: cinnamon oil, clove oil, lavender oil, cinnamon oil, lemongrass oil, orange oil, peppermint oil, and spearmint oil.

Insect Repellant

Add 30 drops of citronella to four ounces of water or alcohol to help ward off mosquitos. Gently mist the body before going outdoors.
